Cooling or Pad & Fan System
Rufepa provides in our greenhouse turnkey project cooling systems, also known as "Pad & Fan" systems.
As usual with all the equipments that we provide, our engineering department assess the climate conditions of the future greenhouse area, in this case, humidity, temperature, availability and quantity of water.
In very hot or dessertic areas with low Relative Humidity %, at least for some hours per day, the "Pad & Fan" system is a perfect solution for decreasing the temperature in the greenhouse and also to increase the Humidity level.
Pad & Fan is a dual system of Pads (humid cellulose plates) and Fans. The forced ventilation of fans vacuums the internal air in the greenhouse and through this phisical effect the humidity rate is increased due to the humidity from the pads enters into the greenhouse. This higher humidity causes a drop of temperatures.
